Students investigated reflections using mirrors and hand prints. We discovered that reflections are opposite of the object that is being reflected. We saw that some objects and words have lines of reflection where you can place a mirror and see the same object reflected.

Students investigated how light does or does not travel through objects. We learned the words transparent, translucent and opaque today. Please reinforce these terms at home.
We began a new unit, Light and Sound Waves. We brainstormed what we know about light and drew pictures of objects that give off light. Then we discussed if these objects were natural or man made. On Tuesday, we used a pinhole box and discovered that we couldn't see objects without light.
Today we had a mystery skype in class today.
