We also made thank you notes for our Eli Lily Coach. Students explored a website called Adventures of Herman the Worm. We learned about the body parts of a worm.
We conducted an experiment to find out if worms prefer light or dark environment.
We watched a tumblebook called "Diary of a Worm". We identified fiction and true parts of the story. We sequenced events in the story. We drew pictures of how worms help the earth.
Students had a special extra science day.
They have earned a free day for their behavior. We are finishing up our Pebbles, Sand and Silt unit with a close look at worms. Today we listed our "I wonder" questions about worms and we got a chance to see and hold worms.
Students continue to observe soil found in the courtyard for its ingredients.
Students observed their homemade soil that has separated in vials of water. We also began comparing our homemade soil to soil in the courtyard.
