Students investigated how glaciers move and deposit land to a new area. We used ice cubes to simulate glaciers.
We observed the soil from the school courtyard. We learned that soil can be sandy, silty, clay or loam. We used our observations to determine the texture of our soil.
Students went outside and looked for examples of soil erosion around the school building. Then we read about ways to prevent soil erosion and discussed ways to prevent the soil erosion around the building.
We had a guest speaker in science today. We learned about recycling, what can be recycled and how we can take care of the earth.
Students investigate the components of soil by observing soil and putting it in water.
