Students observed their solid and liquid mixtures. Then they traded mixture recipes with another group and repeated the experiment.
We began an experiment in which students chose a solid and liquid to mix together to determine if a physical or chemical change has taken place.
Students finished their experiment with steel wool rusting.
Students investigated the rusting process. Half of the class put their steel wool in vinegar and half in water to find out which liquid creates a chemical reaction and rust.
Students did not have science today due to Digital Learning Day.
Yesterday in science, students completed a worksheet identifying physical and chemical changes.
Students captured the gas from the alkaseltzer in water experiment. We also worked on a Nearpod presentation about chemical and physical changes.
Students separated colors of markers using chromatography.
Students reviewed matter by working through a packet. They also added their fall and winter pictures to their tree journals.
