Students examined how large rocks are broken down into pebbles, gravel, and sand by weathering and erosion. We also looked at how dry sand and wet sand are different.
Students looked at properties of rocks and how sedimentary, igneous and metamorphic rocks are similar.
Students finished the mystery science about where rivers flow.
I was at a conference on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, students investigated how water flows downhill and if they were in a river, where they would end up. Tuesday during STEM, students made cup towers.
We began investigating a different earth material- rocks. We sorted rocks by their properties.
Students tested their house on the earthquake simulating platform. They were able to rebuild and test again.
Friday, on our science zoom, we finished our water map.
Monday in science, students earned a free day. |
