Students began an activity in which they learn by cutting apart a map how much of the earth is water and how much is land.
Students earned a free day with their behavior choices. They chose to watch a video- Magic School Bus "Blows its Top" about volcanoes.
Students observed the water cycle in a cup system with hot water evaporating to the top of the cup, cooling and condensing, then getting heavy and dripping back down.
Students learned about the Water Cycle. Thank you to the PTO for our Brain Pop subscription!
Students looked for water sources on the globe and then we colored in a map with water and land.
Students observed their solid and liquid mixture to see if there was evidence of a chemical reaction. Then we switched recipes with another group and made new mixtures. After letting them sit overnight, we will observe them to see if there is evidence of a chemical reaction.
Students got to choose a solid and a liquid and mix them together to see if the mixture made a chemical reaction. We will trade "recipes" and do it again next week.
Students watched a Magic School Bus video about chemical reactions called "Get Ready, Set, Dough."
