Students simulated the water cycle with a 2L bottle, hot water, ice and a rock.
Homework due tomorrow: Jigsaw lab and graphing earth's water lab Study for the test we will have on Dec. 20th Students reviewed the study guide for a test they will have Dec. 20th over Earth and Space Systems.
Homework- Finish labs due Friday, study for the test Students learned about the amount of water on Earth and how much of that water is available to humans for use.
Homework- Finish the jigsaw lab from Friday and the Earth's water lab from today due Friday. Students learned about the four systems on Earth, atmosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere and geosphere. They did a jigsaw activity and researched about their sphere and then shared the information with their classmates.
No homework Students compared the month of the year and amount of sunlight during the day. We made a graph to help see our data.
If your student didn't finish this in class, then please finish it as homework. Students investigated why we have seasons with a styrofoam ball model and flashlight. We learned that the intensity of the light we get when our Earth is not tilted directly toward the sun is less than it is in the summer.
Homework- Seasons and climate reading and questions on it's learning - due Friday. Please make sure you use chrome to get on it's learning. Make sure you screenshot your answers before hitting ok and submit. Please try to submit on it's learning and let Mrs. Bick know if you're having trouble. Students completed the activity simulating the moon and earth revolving around the sun.
Homework due Friday- Path of the Sun (read the article and answer the questions) Students made models of the Sun, Earth and Moon and their revolutions.
No homework Students earned a free day today for their behavior. They chose to watch videos and play kahoot. We reviewed the phases of the moon with kahoot and watched videos about gravity.
