No homework Fifth graders set up two experiments with plant growth. One experiment investigates the type of soil in which plants grow the best. The other experiment investigates how much sunlight plants need to grow.
Homework due Thursday: 1)Soil Science Newspaper, read the paper, write a summary of one article, and complete the crossword puzzle 2) Brain Pop- Soil video- watch the video and take the quiz. Email Mrs. Bick a picture of your quiz score Fifth graders investigated three types of soil. They observed it with magnifying glasses, felt the soil wet and tried to make a snake out of the soil.
Due on Thursday: 1)soil Science Newspaper read it, write a summary on one article, complete the crossword puzzle. 2) Brain pop video- Soil, watch it, take the quiz and email Mrs. Bick a picture of your score. Fifth graders earned a free day with their good behavior. They chose to watch a Bill Nye video about doing science at home.

Students worked through a bundle on My Big Campus learning about the components of a food chain such as producers, consumers, carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores.
No homework We began a new unit today about Food Chains and webs. Students learned about why animals must eat and how energy moves from one organism to another.
