Students finished their catapult experiments and put their data on graphs.
No homework Students looked at a new system of parts that together make a catapult. We investigated to find out what the variables of the catapult are.
Homework- 1. Thank you notes 2. Response sheet lifeboats Students conducted their experiments to find out if the variable they decided to change makes a difference in the distance the plane travels.
Homework due Friday-1. Thank you notes 2. Response sheet Life Boats Students talked about the variables that affect how far our planes fly. Students chose a variable to change and investigate next time.
Homework- Thank you notes due Friday Students finished their investigation of winding the propellers on their planes and how that affects how far the plane flies.
No homework Students investigated how the number of winds of the propeller on their planes affect the distance the plane traveled. They were challenged to determine the minimum number of winds the plane needed to run the entire line and then the number of winds the plane needed to get to the middle of the line.
Homework due tomorrow: 1-edpuzzle Scientific Variables video 2- in your email Response sheet swingers Students continue to observe how variables affect a system.
Today we built planes that run on fishing line. We will begin testing the variables for the plane next time. Homework due Friday 1-edpuzzle video Scientific Variables 2-Response sheet swingers Students created a graph with their data of their boats capacity and number of passengers. Then they changed boats with another group and measured the new boat capacity and predicted from the graph how many passengers the boat would carry.
Homework due Friday- edpuzzle Scientific Variables Students continue to investigate capacity of lifeboats and the number of passengers boats can carry by creating 3 more boats of varying sizes and testing their ability to hold passengers.
