Homework due Friday- Earthworms Lets Dig in reading and questions and the Night Sky Log for this week Students researched the types of things that can go into a worm bin that worms eat. We made posters to educate our fellow students and teachers about what foods from their lunch and snacks can go in the bins.
Homework- Night Sky observation sheet for this week Students read articles about our compost bin. Students were split into groups and read the articles on Thursday. On Friday they were re arranged into groups and presented their information to the new group. We also came up with questions to ask our expert during a zoom call next week.
We reintroduced the worm/compost bins to the class. We investigated the worm bins and found out that the conditions in the bins weren't ideal for composting. So we came up with some questions and next steps to correct our worm bins so we can compost our snacks and lunch leftovers.
Homework due Friday- The Worm who came to dinner reading and questions (sent in email and given a paper copy) Students earned a free day with their behavior choices. They chose to watch a video.
Homework- Night Sky Log for this week. Student critiqued each other's slides for the Rosh Chodesh presentation.
