During science, students finished their buoyancy, hardness and magnetism activity.
Homework due Thursday- 2 assignments in edpuzzle (Assignment 3B and What is a gas?) During STEM, the boys team worked on improving their robot for the State competition. The girls practiced programming their robot. Students observed a few of the physical properties of solids: buoyancy, hardness and magnetism.
Homework due Thursday- Edpuzzle Assignment 3B Students observed and graphed the temperatures at which ice melts and water boils.
No homework Students learned about the particles in solids, liquids and gases.
Homework due tomorrow- finish Snowman States of Matter on seesaw Students built a snowman and measured the snowman as it changed from a solid to a liquid. We learned about the states of matter of a snowman and changes in the states of matter.
During STEM, students used math and problem solving to figure out which villager pretended to be the Abominable Snowman. Homework- Finish the Snowman States of Matter activity by Friday Students explored gases and proved that gases have mass and take up space.
No homework Students completed measuring the mass and volume of different objects using different methods.
Homework due tomorrow- Both assignments are on seesaw- States of Matter reading and Make More Comparisons sheet Students reviewed measuring mass and volume for different solids and liquids.
Homework due Friday- Make More Comparisons sheet on Seesaw STEM was cancelled today Students began a new unit Structures and Properties of Matter. We began by talking about matter and then doing a matter digital scavenger hunt.
Homework due Friday- On Seesaw- States of Matter Reading and questions |
