Kindergarten had a special science time today. Emma was our meteorologist. We talked about how the sun gives us light and heat. We talked about how we can cool ourselves by blocking the sun or cooling the air. Students made a plan to either block the sun from their cup of dirt and sand or cool the air around their dirt and sand.
Aiden was our class meteorologist today. We continued our experiment about earth materials in the sun and shade by putting our soil or sand in the sun but shading it.
Henya was our class meteorologist today. We also finished our experiment about testing sunlight and shade on earth materials like sand and dirt.
Antonio was our class meteorologist today. We are preparing for an activity in which students choose an earth materials (soil, rocks, water, etc) to see how the sun's rays affect it. We began working on that activity today.
Simcha was our class meteorologist today. We learned about tornadoes and investigated the vortex of a tornado using tornado tubes and 2-L bottles.
