We have been working on correcting our incubator temperature problem and today we put more eggs in the incubator. We hope they will be successful.
We also discovered that we can change the shape of wood by using sandpaper.

Students sunk pieces of wood and counted how many paper clips it took to sink the wood.
Students investigated how to make a floating object like wood sink.
Students investigated what happens to wood when it gets wet. We learned that water can bead up on wood or it can be absorbed by wood. Please help us reinforce these words as you talk about water beading up on the windshield or absorbing in a towel.
Students started a new unit called Materials in our World. We learned that wood can come from trees or be made in a factory.

General Information:
Kindergarten students have science twice a week on Tuesday from 1:30-2pm and Friday from 3-3:30pm. Kindergarten students do not have science homework or tests. Kindergarten Science Units:
