Students met Mr. Flo, our Eli Lily STEM coach for this year. We also did an observation activity in which we talked about drawing like a scientist. Students chose an object and drew it and then we exchanged papers to see if the other person could find their toy.
Students are continuing to work on recognizing our senses. Today we cut out pictures of objects and sorted them under the sense we use to observe them best.
Kindergarten had a special science time today. We did a senses scavenger hunt and reinforced how we use our senses.
Welcome to Elementary science! I look forward to a wonderful year.
Yesterday and today in science, we talked about what a scientist is. We read a book called "What is a scientist?". We talked and reviewed our 5 senses. Today we drew pictures of ourselves as scientists. |
