Students made tops in class today and talked about the forces that make the top move and stop.
No homework Students built a line of dominoes and observed the force that made the dominoes fall.
No homework Students made a swing out of K'Nex pieces. We investigated push and pulls with the swing. Mr. Florencio Rodriguez, Mr. Flo, is our coach from Eli Lilly. He read a story to the class about pushes and pulls on the farm.
No homework Students will be reading about pushes and pulls and identifying pushes and pulls used in real life.
No homework Students measured the distance the ball rolled on the carpet.
No homework Students measured how far their balls rolled off the ramp with unifix cubes.
No homework Students drew a picture of their ball ramps. They rolled the balls on the ramp and marked on the floor how far they went. They had the best time!
Students began a unit today about forces and motion called Push, Pull, Go. We began by using force to move a ball. Then we built a ramp out of K'Nex pieces and used it to roll the ball. Students finished their senses packets as we talked about thing we can see and hear.
We also began our Push, Pull, Go unit by having free exploration and building time with the K'Nex pieces we'll be using. No homework |
