Due to the upcoming holidays, we had a special science time on Tuesday. Dina was our class meteorologist. We also learned more about the types of clouds.

Students did a mystery science about the weather. Mystery science is a web-based curriculum in which students watch a short video about a phenomena they experience and then we do an activity.
I have set up an Adoptaclassroom account to help get it for my class. If you'd like to help, please go to adoptaclassroom.org and search for Dawn Bick. Zachary was our class meteorologist today. We recorded the temperature, precipitation, clouds and wind. We also drew pictures of different precipitation such as a rainy day, a snowy day and an icy day.
Students began learning about the weather. We started to learn about the symbols used to chart the weather and how to describe weather. We will be checking the weather each day we have class and our students will take turns being meteorologists.
Students discussed what we see in the day and night. We made a double bubble with pictures of objects and we put them on the day side, night side or in the middle for both.
