Students began a new unit called Materials in Our World. We started by talking about what a material is and how they are used. We also looked at pieces of wood and determined which wood came from a tree and which wood was made in a factory.

Students drew pictures of objects that are pushed and pulled. They also drew objects that spin and roll.
Students built inventions that would push the ball and knock down the domino.
Students were challenged to find one or more of the objects we have made in class to knock a ball into a domino and knock it down.
Students used their K'Nex pieces to build small swing sets and learn more forces and motion.

General Information:
Kindergarten students have science twice a week on Tuesday from 1:30-2pm and Friday from 3-3:30pm. Kindergarten students do not have science homework or tests. Kindergarten Science Units:
