Students observed and recorded the monarch chrysalis. We observed our Brassica plants with flower buds. We also learned about traits and began determining the "traits" of an imaginary dragon.

On Thursday, students observed mealworms and monarch caterpillars. Today we observed luna moth caterpillars and monarch pupa or chrysallis.
No homework Students observed their Brassica plants and we talked about the parts of the plant and what the function of those parts are.
Homework- Read p. 3-7 in your New Plants book and answer the questions given due Friday Students learned about structural, behavioral and physiological adaptations that butterflies and other animals have. We also observed our caterpillars.
Students observed their lima beans and opened them up to see the internal parts of a seed. We also observed our Brassica seedlings.
Homework due tomorrow- Seeds of all Sizes reading and Questions Students have begun this year of science observing monarch butterfly eggs and caterpillars. We have also planted Brassica (Wisconsin Fast Growing Plants).
